He Hasnt Forgotten!

Good Morning!

I just wanted to send an email to all of my email buddies to encourage you on this week.  I know that things may seem hard right now and for some it may be a little uneasy or disheartening for you right now...but just know GOD HAS NOT FORGOTTEN ABOUT YOU!  Remind yourself that things are going to get better!  And if you are bold enough and can mustard up enough strength to speak to yourself declare that things are already getting better (I had to speak that to myself today as I was walking into my office).  Remember Romans 8:28 states: "and we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose."  So strengthen yourself and your faith today and know that things are already looking better for you!

I know here in Detroit today the weather is very gloomy and so when I started feeling a little down I had to remind myself that this is the day that the Lord has made and that I will rejoice and be glad because some didn't make it to see the rain and clouds today.  And because God allowed me to see another day I OWE HIM SO MUCH!  So no matter where you find yourself today or what the day presents to you know that things are going to get better and every time doubt tries to sneak in repeat that to yourself and seal it with a praise.  Habakkuk 3:17-19 says: "although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls: Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation.  The LORD God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds' feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places. To the chief singer on my stringed instruments."  Here the Prophet Habakkuk is saying (para-phrased in today's terms), look, my money is spending quicker than I can make it, my job is acting crazy, business is slow for me, gas is now $3 a gallon (oh Lord!) and on top of all that it seems like everything I put my hands to do either fails or is not appreciated...but YET will I praise God because I know he's just testing me to see if I am just with Him for the good things or because He is the good thing!  So imma stand here sure-footed as a deer knowing that I'm able to with-stand this storm and I will praise Him with the assurity that He is the God of recompense and because of that I know He shall repay!  And when He repays its going to seem as if I never hit this drought or rough spot in my life!  Glory to His name!

So be encouraged my friend.  Stand and know that things are getting better for you!  Enjoy this poem that I have hanging in my office.  It reminds me everyday, no matter what is going on around me, to keep the faith and don't give up because my purpose is bigger than me.  It reminds me to continue to go on because what I'm going through is only to strengthen me for who I'm going to!  ENJOY and be STRENGTHENED!

Anyway
People are unreasonable,
illogical & self centered;
Love them anyway.

If you do good,
people will accuse you of ulterior motives;
Do good anyway.

If you are successful
you win false friends & true enemies;
Succeed anyway.

The good you do today
will be forgotten tomorrow;
Do good anyway.

Honesty & frankness
make you vulnerable
Be honest and frank anyway.

People favor underdogs
but follow only top dogs;
Fight for some underdogs anyway.

What you spend years building
may be destroyed overnight (don't I know it!)
Build anyway!

People really need help
but may attack you if you help them;
Help people anyway.

Give the world the best you have
and you may get kicked in the teeth;
Give the world the best you've got anyway!

Have a great week!
With Much Love -- Your Friend,

Clyde L. Webster
